WINNERS ANNOUNCED The Australian Banking & Finance Insurance Awards were announced in Sydney tonight at a Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony at the Sheraton on the Park. The event was attended by senior members of the Australian Banking & Finance Insurance community. ING Chief Executive Officer, Paul Bedbrook has been named Australian Insurance Executive of the Year for 2006. ING was also awarded “Best Insurance Website”. CommInsure picked up 3 awards for Best General Insurance Product, Best Call Centre and Best Technology Innovation. The 4th Annual Australian Banking & Finance Insurance Awards, was sponsored by Zurich, Lexmark, TeleTech and Filenet, covering 15 categories and were held during a gala dinner at the Sheraton on the Park, Sydney. QBE received the “Insurance Group of the Decade” award with Mr John Cloney, Chairman of QBE on hand to receive it. Readers of the Australian Banking & Finance, the premier industry publication, vote on a short list of nominations provided by a respected industry judging panel.
